Paper
The Paper
The paper used to make all the liners from Recycle Together has been sourced and tested specifically for use in compostable organic waste streams.
Why Test
Many local councils collect organic food and/or garden waste from households for composting. To ensure the liners are safe to enter this type of waste, the councils require the material to be tested to a specific European standard.
Din Certo Certification

The image displayed to the right is the European Certificate of Compostability EN13432:2000 issued by Din Certo - the leading European certification organisation. This award is given after rigorous testing on the material to ensure the material composts properly, is safe to use in the composting process and will not harm the environment!

Although this image is required by many local councils before they allow any bin liner into the compostable waste stream, we still advise asking your local council before using these liners just to make sure they can be included.

Recycled
All our boxes are made from recycled board and can be recycled again. The Kitchen Caddy is made from 100% recycled plastic. The paper used to make our liners is currently sourced from sustainable forests but we are in the process of developing a recycled sack kraft paper that will be strong enough to use to make our liners. This recycled paper will come online later in the year!
Increased Strength
The Alina Medium and Alina Large liners are made using 2 ply paper - two layers of paper are used instead of one. This double layer gives added stability, added strength and makes the sacks resistant to punctures, whilst still being easy to handle and light-weight!
In The Garden
Use our compostable liners in your garden to collect compostable garden waste for your home compost heap! These liners are sturdy and strong - great for transporting compostable waste!

Take your compostable waste to your home compost heap or a community composting facility (usually attached to your local recycling centre) and discard the liner with its contents!

For home composting empty the contents on to the heap and rip up the liner before also adding it to the heap - adding the paper liner will provide valuable 'browns' to the mix, help stablise moisture content and improve air flow!
